In 1996, Beck handpicked Swamp as his touring DJ — a partnership that would carry through some of the most celebrated tours of the late '90s and early 2000s. Night after night, Swamp held down the sonic center of Beck's live show, earning the respect of audiences and musicians worldwide while cementing his reputation as a performer who could hold any room.

As an inventor, Swamp developed the Skip-Proof Scratch Tool — a device that allowed DJs to perform aggressive scratch techniques on vinyl without the needle skipping. It was a practical solution born from the demands of live performance, and it changed the way turntablists approached their craft.
